World of Magic

Six Sentence Sunday #8

Last week, Otis got in the taxi with Tori, telling her that he was sorry to hear that her mother was missing.

This six picks up, where Tori is driving the taxi up main street, Otis is in the passenger seat.

(He is over 80 and can hardly see! Welcome to Starlight Cove!!)

An old man wearing a lighted miner’s cap rushed out into the foggy road and held up his palms. Come on, she was only going 12 mph and the only vehicle in the road.  He kept glancing down at his spread eagle feet while he held up his hand towards the taxi. Tori looked to the right and then to the left for a pedestrian wanting to cross the street. No sign of anyone.

Was that Mayor Carver?  What was he up to in that hat?

I weave myth, magic and fairy tales into my paranormal novels. I would rather spend my days with sirens and shapeshifters than live in the real world.
