Frederica stretched out her arms and opened her hand to admire the long tapering fingers, so white in the brilliant sunshine. She leaned back against Brahm’s strong shoulder, and closed her eyes to feel the breeze on her eyelids, the cooling air on her flushed cheeks. She had seen Clara’s portraits.
and one more tease from the same page 🙂
Frederica felt Clara within, crying out to Hannes for help. She was frightened, naturally.
pg 34 The Brahms Deception Louise Marley
Frederica Daniels, a brilliant musicologist whose life is devoid of romance, has won an irresistible opportunity – to go back in time to the era of Johannes Brahms. Transported to Tuscany in the 1860s, she finds herself living in the body of beautiful Clara Schumann and is swept into an affair with the charismatic Brahms. Rival scholar Kristian North is elected to travel to the past and retrieve Frederica, who is unwilling to leave. While Kristian revels in the beauty of Italy and the genius of Brahms, he is unable to unearth Frederica’s deception. And it is only with Clara’s help that he will be able to protect the musical legacy of Brahms and the balance of time itself…
Louise Marley’s love of music and history shines in this romantic tale. Can you imagine being ‘transferred’ to the past? This book is the perfect blend of all my favorite elements, thriller, intrigue, history, sci-fi, and a touch of romance. I’ve read it several times and it is still one of my favorites!!

• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
